Ride along as I fly a Super Cub for the first time, and land on a grass strip!.
Watch in HD! You can read the Panel!

It has been on my list to get checked out in a tail dragger ever since I can remember.
I’m so glad I finally got off my butt, and have started the process.

This is a fun edit of my first flight, but I got some great footage including an amazingly informative post flight interview with Dennis my CFI.
There will be several videos made out of this footage – I just need to find the time to edit them.

For now enjoy this fun teaser video – this one has some great info, but the others will be more technical…

…And in the interest of full disclosure, no, the awesome landing shown here wasn’t my first one 😛
I did five on that flight and this was my best.
The first was actually pretty good, but then I got cocky and the second was a bounce, but the rest were ok.

Flight Chops Disclaimer

I am a “weekend warrior” private pilot, I fly for fun with no intentions of going commercial. I have had my PPL for over 15 years, but still consider each flight a learning experience – I generally take detailed notes after each flight to remind myself what went well or what I could do to improve…. Having the GoPro cameras to record flights like this is invaluable. I find these self analysis videos very helpful in my constant quest to improve, and am happy to share.

Feedback is invited; however, please keep it positive.
