Weight and Balance – it’s not just numbers!

This was a bit of a murky day, but it didn’t affect this little guy’s excitement about his first ride in a small plane.
His parents asked to ride along in the back seat, so I carefully calculated the weight and balance, as I knew we’d be pushing the AFT Center of Gravity limits.
As expected, it was do able, but only just barely, even with half fuel.
This was a good experience to remind myself how unusual the plane can feel when loaded differently.
