One step closer to flying the Spitfire like my Grampa!
Soloing the DHC-1 Chipmunk was a very emotional experience, and brings me one step closer to flying a Spitfire like my Grampa did! Thanks to Canadian Historical Aircraft Association for this one, and I hope to soon be flying the Spit’ with Boultbee Flight Academy
I’m proud and honoured to be a new member of the Canadian Historical Aircraft Association!

At high school, I remember washing aircraft at Moorabbin airport, Australia to get a flight in a Chipmunk. Aren’t they just a beautiful aircraft. Okay, I pretended that I was in a Spitfire. And thankyou for sharing your journey
Congratulations on your solo buddy!
WELL DONE!
MY first ever aircraft solo was in Chipmunk #18073, November 9, 1956 in Centralia. I was on the first RCAF course 5609, to use the Chipmunk as a basic trainer. Watching the videos brought back some great feelings, not to mention a couple of scary ones.
